OK, here I go

I've decided to start blogging. Whether or not I shall turn out to be the hero of my own blog, or whether that station will be held by anyone else, these entries must show.

Elliott is a nickname I've had for years. I was in a computer class at work in the mid-1970's and my instructor couldn't remember my first name. He kept calling me "Elliott", which is somewhat similar (he also called my co-worker Louise "Lois"). So my friends and co-workers, not wanting to embarrass him, started calling me "Elliott" as well. And the nickname sorta stuck.
