Saturday Matinee - Pink Floyd

Nobody puts on a show like Pink Floyd. Here's link to a live version of "Keep talking" from The Division Bell.

I was lucky to see them live in Seattle in the mid 1970's when they toured to support Wish You Were Here. They played a large selection from it for their first set, and then took a break.

When the lights went down after the intermission, we heard a heartbeat from the stage and knew what was coming. The heartbeat moved around - it came from four different locations in the Coliseum. They had a quadraphonic sound system. And they did the entire Dark Side of the Moon, from start to finish, without a break. It was breathtaking.

The audience went wild when they left, and they came back onstage and did Echoes from Meddle.

It was the biggest, most spectacular rock concert I ever saw.

Sadly, Richard Wright, their keyboard player died a while ago, and David Gilmour has announced that there will be no more tours.
